Preparation of Digitised Micro-Watershed Atlas for Raebareli district, Uttar Pradesh - UP Bhoomi Sudhar Nigam - September 2000
The mapping study was undertaken by utilising IRS 1C LISS-III data as well as Survey of India Toposheets for identification of the various features related to water logged areas saline and sodic lands, demarcation of watersheds, prioritisation of micro-watersheds and integrating the Micro-Watersheds in Raebareli District with the National Watershed Atlas. Extensive digitisation work was done for digitising contours, elevation, existing drainage networks and canal networks, transportation networks, location of settlements, water boundaries, forest boundaries, scrub and hill out crops, bridges and other prominent features, administrative boundaries, etc. Water logged areas and areas prone to water logging, saline and sodic lands are also identified on the basis of the IRS-1C LISS-III data and included in digitised map. |
