  Baseline Survey and Periodic Evaluation of KfW (Germany) aided Comprehensive Tribal Development Project (Watershed-based) - National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development, 2000 - 2005

    A Tribal Development Project with external aid by way of grant from KfW, Germany was implemented by NABARD through BAIF Development Research Foundation, Pune in Dharmapur Taluka of Valsad district in Gujarat since 1995. AFC conducted Baseline Survey and the First Periodic Evaluation of the Project. The Baseline Survey aimed to analyse the socio-economic status of the tribal families and the environmental conditions in which they live. The major objective of the periodic evaluation was to assess the process and effect of the project at regular intervals so that the findings of the study would guide the implementation and initiate corrective action. The services provided included identification of indicators for base line survey, designing of survey tools, preparation of household schedules, village profile schedules, preparation of instruction manuals, evaluation and impact assessment.
