National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme – Perspective Plan (Banda District) – Department of Rural Development, Government of U.P – 2007.
The perspective plan required preparation of comprehensive plan for five years for providing supplementary wage employment opportunities in rural area and enhancing food security through creation of need based durable community assets.
437 gram panchayats spread over eight blocks of Banda district viz. Baberu, Barokhar Khurd, Bisanda, Jaspura, Kamasin, Mahua, Naraini and Tindwari were covered. The views of Block Development Officers, Gram Panchayat Pradhan and People’s Representative like Block Pramukh, members of various BDCs were invited. Focus Group Discussions were held at Panchayat Level Primary and secondary data obtained were tabulated, analysed and the proposals were sent to the Chief Development Officer and BDOs concerned for finalization and approval in BDC meetings. After receiving the approval of the said proposals, draft report was prepared and submitted. Final report is likely to be submitted shortly after incorporating the comments and suggestions.
