Basin: Godavari
- The proposed Project is for lifting 16.50 TMC of water from river Godavari & providing irrigation facilities to about 81,000 hectare in Khammam, Krishna and West Godavari districts.
- Drinking water will be supplied to the areas enroute water conductor system.
- For storage of water, four tanks have been proposed of which two are existing and two new tanks are to be constructed.
- Total land requirement is 1780.35 ha of which 236.3 ha is forest land. Forest clearance is yet to be obtained. No human population will be displaced.
- The total cost of the project is Rs. 1824 crore.
