Outcome

Based on the AFC’s appraisal reports, the factories have been able to secure funds from a consortium of Karnataka State Cooperative Bank, other Scheduled Commercial Banks and Karnataka State Small Industries Development Corporation (KSSIDC).

  • Sri Basaveshwara Sahakari Sakkare Kharkane Niyamit, Kirigeri, Haveri District (August 1999);
  • Shri Sangam Sahakari Sakkare Karkhane Niyamit, Hidkal Dam, Belgaum District (January 2000);
  • The Jamkhandi Sugars Ltd., Jamkhandi, Bagalkot District (May 2000 and November 2001);
  • Krishna Sahakari Sakkare Kharkhane Niyamit, Athani, Belgaum District (July 2001);
  • The Naranja Sahakari Sakkare Karkhane Ltd., Bidar (November 2001);
  • 8. Nirani Sugars, Mudhol, Bagalkot district (August 2005 and September 2006).

Brief Description : AFC carried out appraisal of various sugar factory projects in Karnataka. AFC has assessed the technical feasibility and financial viability of the projects. The reports included assessment of infrastructure facilities, co-generation of power along with assessment of project cost and means of finance through equity and credit from financial institutions.
